SCAG launches Connect SoCal; hosts community workshop in Monrovia
Public input is critical to the development of the next 25-year regional transportation plan
The Southern California Association of Governments (SCAG) has formally launched Connect SoCal, the agency’s 2020-2045 Regional Transportation Plan/Sustainable Communities Strategy.
SCAG announced a series of public workshops to engage residents and stakeholders in the planning and visioning process for the 25-year plan.
In Monrovia, the workshop is scheduled for June 12, 4-6 p.m., in the Kay Dalton Room of City Hall, 119 W. Palm Ave. SCAG also is inviting residents and stakeholder to participate in an online survey: https://neighborland.com/connectsocal.

“Long-term planning is critical to shaping the future of Southern California – a region of 19 million people, and growing,” said Bill Jahn, President of SCAG. “Connect SoCal will be our most comprehensive region plan to date, but we need the public’s involvement. These workshops will provide insight into where our growth is occurring, and allow participants to provide input on how to keep the region moving in the right direction.”
