Suspicious Child Death Under Investigation In Pomona: Police

POMONA, CA — Police are investigating the suspicious death of a child in Pomona, authorities said.

Officers were called around 5:30 a.m. Monday about a child who was not breathing at an apartment complex in the 1800 block of Cordova Street, according to police. Neighbors and paramedics tried to save the child, who was taken to Pomona Valley Hospital and pronounced deceased, police said.

Investigators interviewed witnesses and family members and are continuing to look into the case in cooperation with the Los Angeles County coroner’s office, according to police.
