Mountain View police say traffic will be heavy Thursday night, especially along Shoreline Boulevard at the state Highways 101 and 85 on and off-ramps.

For residents in the Santiago Villa area, Mountain View police say La Avenida will not be closed Thursday night. It will be closed Friday night, and possibly on Sunday.

Authorities say the closure is for three hours at most, and that some delays are expected. The road will re-open at the end of the closure period.

This weekend, police say the two shows are sold out — Dead & Co. on Saturday and Panic! At the Disco and Weezer on Sunday.

Some reminders about traffic as we head into a music-filled weekend at Shoreline Amphitheatre
Hi Mountain View,
Starting tonight, Shoreline Amphitheater has four, yes FOUR, shows in a row that will bring lots of music lovers (and cars) to the area. Two of those four shows are sold out — Dead & Co. on Saturday and Panic! At the Disco and Weezer on Sunday.
Tonight, Keith Urban is set to play, and parking lots for concert-goers open at 5 pm. Tomorrow, Korn plays for their fans, and lots open at 4:30 pm. We would like to stress that traffic will be heavy through the weekend, as tonight is also the city’s last Thursday Night Live for the summer.
Please, plan accordingly as you head to the shows. For the weekday concerts, take commuter traffic into account, and leave as early as possible to get to Shoreline. Otherwise, please be aware that you will most likely be stuck in traffic, and that’s no fun for anyone, especially when you’ve got a show to get to! Traffic will be heavy tonight especially along Shoreline Boulevard at the Highway 101 and Highway 85 off-ramps.
For residents in the Santiago Villa area, La Avenida will NOT be closed tonight. It will be closed tomorrow night, and possibly also on Sunday. Please be aware, though, that the closure is for three hours at most, and that some delays are expected. The road will re-open at the end of that closure period.
As always, stay safe, Mountain View. We hope you have a fun weekend and that you enjoy the shows.
