How Much Rain Did Oceanside Get During This Week's Storm?

OCEANSIDE, CA — A winter storm is expected to roll out of San Diego County Wednesday after bringing widespread rain to the region.

As of Wednesday morning, the storm dropped anywhere from 0.01 to 1.73 inches of rain over the last three days across the county, according to the National Weather Service. Oceanside received 0.77 of an inch of rain.

"One last round of more significant showers is moving from the coast into the valleys and will move into the mountains through daybreak," NWS San Diego forecasters wrote Wednesday. "Showers will mostly end during the morning, but could linger near the mountains into the afternoon."

A flood watch remains in effect until 10 a.m. Wednesday for the county's coastal areas, mountains and valleys. Forecasters warned that flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas.

The rain is expected to end Wednesday, but more rain is possible next week.

"There will be a warming trend through Friday with Friday high temperatures a few to around 5 degrees above average," NWS San Diego forecasters wrote. "Cooling will begin to spread inland over the weekend with a chance of precipitation around Monday."
