OCEANSIDE, CA — Are you an Oceanside teacher with an innovative class project idea? North Island Credit Union Foundation could help fund your project.

North Island Credit Union Foundation is offering grants through its teacher grant program. The foundation will award 10 $500 grants to area teachers in October for the fall program.

The biannual grant program is available to full-time teachers in San Diego and Riverside counties, or credit union members teaching in California, looking to fund special learning opportunities for their students. Projects should have clearly defined learning objectives tied to students' academic needs, display creativity, and benefit a significant number of students, according to the foundation, a nonprofit corporation that serves as the philanthropic arm of North Island Credit Union.
