​$3.5M Worth Of Drugs Seized In Orange County Bust

The seized drugs included cocaine, heroin, methamphetamine and fentanyl, authorities said.

HUNTINGTON BEACH, CA — Authorities in Huntington Beach this month conducted a drug trafficking bust that led to two arrests and the seizure of an estimated $3.5 million worth of drugs.

In a news release, Huntington Beach police said a 30-day investigation aimed to track the flow of drugs out of Mexico and into Orange County, San Bernardino County and Riverside County.

According to the release, the investigation found the trafficking operation also shipped drugs out of California and into New York.

Ultimately, authorities seized 138 kilos of cocaine and heroin, 12 pounds of methamphetamine and over 1,000 fentanyl pills, police said.

Two people were arrested in connection to the sting. One suspect was arrested in Compton and charged with possession with intent to sell. Police said the suspect was carrying two kilos of cocaine at the time of his arrest.

A second suspect was charged with transportation and possession with intent to sell.

The names of the suspects were not immediately available.
