20-Year-Old Motorcyclist Killed In Indio Crash

The fatality was reported at the intersection of Hjorth Street and Avenue 48, according to the Riverside County Sheriff-Coroner's Bureau.

INDIO, CA — A motorcyclist killed Wednesday morning, Aug. 14, in a fiery Indio crash was identified as a local man.

Bryan Rodriguez, 20, of Indio died at the scene of the crash reported at 8:20 a.m. at the intersection of Hjorth Street and Avenue 48, according to the Riverside County Sheriff-Coroner's Bureau.

Cal Fire/Riverside County Fire Department reported that the motorcyclist and one other vehicle were involved in the crash, and a fire broke out.

The other driver was not injured, the department said.

Avenue 48 was closed from Madison to Monroe streets during the crash investigation by the Indio Police Department, according to the fire department.
