  3. Who won the Palm Springs International ShortFest? The judges conferred this honor on “The Old Young Crow.” “Way Better” came in first among animated shorts. “Will You Look At Me” was the best documentary short. (Variety)
  4. Water rates are going up. Be heard at a public hearing the Desert Water Agency puts on June 28 at 1200 Gene Autry Trail South. It’s early – at 8 a.m. – but if you can, stop by. (Desert Water Agency)
  5. The Summer Eats Pass is back! Valid from now until Sept. 4, eating at featured restaurants makes you eligible to win a gift card. It’s not an app, but it’s “mobile exclusive.” Best of all, whenever you use the Pass to check into a restaurant, the local food bank gets $1. (Visit Greater Palm Springs)
