Boichik Bagels Expands To Palo Alto's Town & Country Village

PALO ALTO, CA — Palo Alto bagels lovers rejoice — the popular Berkeley bagel shop Boichik Bagels is expanding down to the Peninsula this summer.

The new location will be located at Town & Country Village, a popular plaza near Stanford University. The shop opened in Berkeley in 2019 and has received national acclaim, including a shoutout in a New York Times story declaring California as the best place for bagels in the country.

“It’s official, we’re building a shop in Palo Alto!” the shop posted on Instagram Thursday. “Bagel lovers on the Peninsula, rejoice!!! Aiming for a summer opening, we have got a busy year ahead of us!”

Boichik owner Emily Winston told The Jewish News, which first reported the new location, that she’s been “poking around looking at more real estate and where we’re going to go next, and [Palo Alto] was a really good spot.”

According to The Jewish News, the dough for bagels will still be mixed in Berkeley and then driven to Palo Alto.
