PALO ALTO, CA — A heat-and-serve meal service is launching in the Peninsula.

Dinnerbell, which is attempting to provide an “easy-to-use, affordable service that delivers dinners that are delicious and nutritious,” is now available in Atherton, East Palo Alto, Menlo Park, Palo Alto, Redwood City, Redwood Shores and Stanford.

It was created by Bay Area moms Lara Hoyem of Menlo Park and Maria Reiling of Redwood City.

The meals — over eight main courses and 10 sides — are locally-sourced and made-to-order.

“As a busy, working mom, for years I was looking for a solution to provide an easy, delicious dinner offering to my active daughters, but everything I tried eventually fell short of one or both of those criteria,” Hoyem said.

Menu items include crispy herb-breaded chicken and cedar plank salmon. The kids menu includes pocket pizzas, chicken tenders and a ripper dog. Dessert options include a seasonal fruit crumble, chocolate brownies and dark chocolate pudding.

Free delivery is included with customers’ first order in March.
