New Verve Coffee Roasters Hosts Patio Party In Palo Alto

The specialty craft coffee roasting company based in Santa Cruz opened in June with plans to expand offerings in the Silicon Valley.

PALO ALTO, CA — The city's new craft Verve Coffee Roasters is hosting a party Sept. 27 and is inviting the community to show up to celebrate its expansion onto the patio.

After all, this is California where the weather can send many outdoors for al fresco dining at any given time.

The festivities slated from 3 to 6 p.m. at its new location at 162 University Avenue in Palo Alto will include Salt & Straw ice cream, games, giveaways enough coffee to keep a zoo of wild animals buzzing. It is Verve, a Santa Cruz-based company that has made a mission out of sourcing and roasting the world's highest-quality craft coffee — which has taken owner, connoisseur Colby Barr to some far-flung areas of the planet in pursuit of the perfect bean. He told Patch when he opened the Palo Alto location in June that his favorite place is Ethiopia.
