PALO ALTO, CA — Star Students are found in classrooms, on concert and theater stages and at debate lecterns, and out in the community doing good things to make life better for all of us.

Here at Patch, we've launched an initiative to help recognize Star Students, and we’re working to tell the stories of these outstanding kids to their neighbors.

Why do you believe the star local student should be recognized?

Madav has dedicated many hours of volunteering and loves to improve the community. From serving in the local church to planting roses and cleaning weeds at the Rose Garden, he has been instrumental in uplifting the neighborhood. In addition to this, he has invented a hands free device that families and especially older citizens with dogs can use when walking their dogs. The device is patented and sold by Puppibles, a company he help start and operate.

What's one thing you want everyone to know about the star local student?

Madav is an outstanding individual who perfectly balances community service and academic excellence. Not only does he excel in his rigorous high school curriculum, but he also dedicates his time to serving the community. Madav has a passion for education and continuously strives to improve himself in every aspect of his life. In addition, he is a skilled epee fencer and has ranked as a top men's epee fencer. Despite his busy schedule, Madav remains dedicated to his passions and continuously works to hone his skills in and out of the classroom. His commitment to excellence and his community inspire all those around him.
