Power Restored In East Palo Alto: PG&E

East Palo Alto and several locations around the Peninsula experienced power losses Monday morning amid rain and wind.

EAST PALO ALTO, CA — At least 63 people were without without power in East Palo Alto as of 10:15 a.m. Monday, Pacific Gas & Electric reports. The outage began at 9:16 a.m. Monday but has been resolved as of 1 p.m. Monday, a PG&E rep said.

Rainy, windy weather is causing power outages across the Peninsula on Sunday and Monday. 882 customers are without power in San Jose, according to PG&E.

On Sunday night, the Mountain View Police Department tweeted that more than 14,000 customers lost power. Power has been restored as of Monday morning.

On Sunday in Los Gatos, PG&E reported 16 different storm-related outages throughout the day due to adverse weather that affected a total of 3,558 customers.

As of Monday morning in Los Gatos, storm-damaged electric equipment caused an outage affecting 12 customers at 12:16 a.m. Sunday. As of 1 p.m., power has been restored for all but 2 people.

Another Los Gatos outage started at 8:01 and impacted 4 customers. The cause is under investigation, PG&E said.

Several smaller outages affecting 1-2 people are reported throughout the Bay Area as the biggest storm of the year is delivering rain and the possibility of lightning. In the past 24 hours, San Jose International Airport has reported a total of 0.13 inches of rain and SFO has reported 0.34 inches, according to the National Weather Service.
