Weather conditions and a fallen tree branch across a Palo Alto Utilities' line caused a fault, according to the city of Palo Alto.

PALO ALTO, CA — Power was restored at Palo Alto City Hall and the downtown area after an outage Friday that lasted around an hour.

Weather conditions and a fallen tree branch across a Palo Alto Utilities' line caused a fault, according to the city of Palo Alto.

The power went out around 6:26 a.m. and was restored at 7:43 a.m.

Dry weather is expected in Palo Alto until Sunday, when heavy rain is expected to hit the Bay Area. A flash flood watch was issued for the Peninsula coastline regions on Sunday.
