Red-Tailed Hawk, Prey: Photo Of The Day
A golf excursion turned into a birder's delight when this hawk stopped for a meal at the golf course.
MOUNTAIN VIEW, CA — Jim Erickson keeps an eye out for wildlife while playing at Moffett Field golf course. Yesterday Patch featured a bald eagle photo from Jim. Today he has a red-tailed hawk that he photographed in October. Jim told Patch in an email, " This large Red Tailed hawk did not want to leave the squirrel it had captured and allowed me to get close enough for this photo."
