Street Kids Funds (SKF) Holiday Gift Giving @ Buena Vista Mobile Home

December 17th, 2022: Street Kids Funds (SKF) board members and their families arranged a Holiday Gift Giving event for eighty-five children living at the Buena Vista Mobile Park Home in Palo Alto, CA.

SKF team members coordinated with the staff of the Mobile Home Park community, Ms. Magali, and Ms. Maria, to make all the arrangements for the event.

The Mobile Home Park staff decorated the venue with Christmas ornaments, bells, candles, wreaths, angels, lights, and a Christmas tree. Toddlers, young boys, young girls, and teenagers ranging in age from 1-18 years old were given gift cards for Christmas donated by SKF.

SKF team and the Mobile Home Park staff together also arranged snacks for the children and their families. The treats included pizza, juice packets, water bottles, chips, and chocolates.

This underprivileged community is living amid a very affluent neighborhood in the Bay Area and struggling to make ends meet! Buena Vista Mobile Home Park community consists of four hundred residents and eighty-five children living in small (less than 200 sq ft) crowded mobile homes! Some of the children live with both of their parents while others are living in single parent homes. Most of the parents have minimal education and working in blue collar jobs at grocery stores, restaurants, and nearby offices, homes, parks. Some of the parents are unemployed and even disabled! Yet the smiles on the faces of the children and the parents shows hope for a better tomorrow.

Street Kids Funds is 501c3 Not for Profit organization registered in California and working since 2018. Team members are primarily Pakistani-Americans living in California with a mission to make a difference in the lives of underprivileged children and their families in the US and globally.
