PALO ALTO, CA — Families across Santa Clara County are invited to take part in a fun-filled morning for a good cause this month on the Stanford University campus.

The annual Summer Scamper 5K and kids' fun run is back on June 25, returning the largest fundraiser held each year for the Lucile Packard Children's Hospital Stanford. All money generated by the event helps support the hospital's patients and their families.

The family event kicks off on Galvez Street at 9 a.m., and participants still have time to pre-register for the run, walk, wheelchair division, or kids' fun run. All racers and walkers will get an event shirt, and each kid can expect a special medal.
