PALO ALTO, CA — Two young suspects were arrested in San Jose after police allege they broke into a Palo Alto garage, took car keys and left with two stolen vehicles.

Police said a man called 911 Tuesday morning after discovering an SUV missing from his garage and another from his driveway on Newell Drive. Officers reviewed security cameras and spotted three young suspects parked outside in a Chevy Camaro around 7 a.m. Police said two of the suspects opened an unlocked Volkswagen SUV in the driveway and used the garage door opener to get inside.

In the garage, the suspects found kets and used them to take the Volkswagen from the driveway and a BMW from the garage. The victim told police a few other items were missing from the garage and the suspects hit a third vehicle while leaving the property. All three suspects left the area with the two stolen SUVs and the Camaro.
