Parents on the Palos Verdes Peninsula can mark the first day of school coming this month.
PALOS VERDES, CA — Back-to-school planning has already begun on the Palos Verdes Peninsula with calendars available to help parents prepare for the first day in the Palos Verdes Peninsula Unified School District.
The first day of school for most students in schools on the peninsula is Aug. 23.
Heading into the upcoming school year, some dates are subject to change. Here is the list of dates to know for this school year:

Palos Verdes Peninsula Unified School District:
- First Day: Aug. 23
- Thanksgiving Break: Nov. 20—24
- Winter Break: Dec. 25—Jan. 5
- Spring Break: April 1—5
- Last Day: June 6
