CARSON, CA -- The Los Angeles Chargers announced Thursday they had re-signed running back Branden Oliver, their leading rusher in 2014 who missed all of last season because of a ruptured Achilles tendon suffered during a preseason game.

The 5-foot-8-inch, 208-pound Oliver has rushed for 690 yards and three touchdowns and caught 49 passes for 383 yards and another score in 22 games over two seasons.
