PALOS VERDES ESTATES, CA — Police arrested two people after discovering narcotics, burglary tools and ammunition during a car search in Palos Verdes Estates.

In the early morning of April 21, Palos Verdes Estates Police Department officers saw a man and a woman sleeping in a parked car in the 1600 block of Paseo Del Mar. According to police, probable cause led to a search of the car.

During the search, officers said they found methamphetamine and cocaine as well as the burglary tools.

"Further investigation uncovered that the male was a convicted felon, making his possession of ammunition a felony offense," PVEPD said in a statement.

The man was arrested on suspicion of possession of methamphetamine and cocaine, possession of burglary tools, and a convicted felon in possession of ammunition. PVEPD said the woman was in possession of the drug Ecstasy and had an outstanding warrant, so she was arrested.
