RANCHO PALOS VERDES, CA — Registration is open for Rancho Palos Verdes' first-ever Run for Myles 5K/10K run next month.

The race is held by the nonprofit Run for Myles, which was established in honor of Myles Helm who passed away last July. Helm was an accomplished runner and completed countless races including two Ironman World Championships and over 60 marathons.

"Among all his achievements, the 20 marathons he ran in Palos Verdes held a special place in his heart. Fulfilling his dream of making Palos Verdes his home, Myles found immense joy in this city. Preserving its breathtaking beauty became a cause close to his heart," the nonprofit said.
