New Traffic Signal Activated In Palos Verdes

Drivers can expect a new traffic signal at Palos Verdes Drive East and Palos Verdes Drive South, according to the city of RPV.

RANCHO PALOS VERDES, CA — Drivers can expect a new traffic signal at the intersection of Palos Verdes Drive East and Palos Verdes Drive South, according to the city of Rancho Palos Verdes.

The signal was turned on Thursday morning and drivers can expect crews to adjust programming and install crosswalk stripping on the pavement.

"The new signal is designed to maintain green lights for eastbound and westbound traffic along Palos Verdes Drive South, while turning red only to provide a green light for traffic exiting Palos Verdes Drive East or a green arrow for eastbound traffic to turn onto Palos Verdes Drive East from Palos Verdes Drive South when vehicles or bicycles are on Palos Verdes Drive East or in the eastbound turn lane," according to the city.

"The City will be monitoring the signal in the coming weeks and months to make adjustments to the signal timing as is deemed appropriate," the city said.
