PALOS VERDES, CA — Early voting is now open on the Palos Verdes Peninsula for the 2024 Primary Election, where residents will vote on State Assemblymember, President and Senator.

With presidential frontrunners former President Donald Trump and President Joe Biden expected to win their nominations handily, all eyes in California are on the hotly contested primary race for the seat vacated by the late Sen. Dianne Feinstein as well as a slew of local races.

Locally, voters in Assembly District 66, which includes the Palos Verdes Peninsula cities. Current Democratic Assemblymember Al Muratsuchi and Republican small business owner George Barks will both advance to the general election, as they are the only two candidates.

Polling Places

Residents can vote on Election Day or choose to vote in person early. Accessible voting locations are open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Election Day at the following locations:

  • Crestwood Street Elementary School
    • Early voting will be open starting March 2 from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.
  • Ridgecrest Intermediate School
    • Early voting will be open starting March 2 from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.
  • Dodson Middle School
    • Early voting will be open starting March 2 from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.
  • Rancho Palos Verdes City Hall
    • Early voting will be open starting March 2 from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.
  • Rancho Del Mar High School
    • Early voting will be open starting March 2 from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.
  • First Baptist Church of Palos Verdes
    • Early voting will be open starting March 2 from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.
  • Palos Verdes Intermediate School
    • Early voting will be open starting March 2 from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.

In-person voting locations will offer same-day voter registration, replacement ballots, accessible voting machines and language assistance for those who need it.
