Road Work Planned Overnight On Palos Verdes Drive South

RANCHO PALOS VERDES, CA — Drivers in Palos Verdes can expect delays along Palos Verdes Drive South as crews conduct utility work along the road this weekend.

Workers will be near Palos Verdes Drive South, from La Rotonda Drive to the eastern city limit, beginning about 7 p.m. Friday and ending by 6 a.m. Saturday, city officials said.

"This work entails connecting the new underground cables to the cables outside of the underground district that are remaining for a properly working system," city officials said.

"Drivers should proceed cautiously through the work zone and carefully follow work zone signs and instructions," city officials said.

More closures are expected next week in the Peninsula.

Crews will return for more work on the project in the same area along Palos Verdes Drive South Tuesday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
