Suspected Serial Mail Thief Apprehended In Palos Verdes Estates

PALOS VERDES ESTATES, CA — The Palos Verdes Estates Police Department arrested a man in connection to multiple mail thefts that have happened in the area throughout February, authorities announced Tuesday.

According to PVEPD, in the early hours of Feb. 28 an officer saw a green Toyota parked on Via Boronada that matched the description of a vehicle connected to the thefts. The officer decided to engage with the driver of the vehicle, authorities said.

While investigating the car, the officer said he discovered additional stolen mail and narcotics in the suspect's possession. The man was then arrested and transported to the PVEPD jail.

"Following thorough interviews, the suspect confessed to multiple mail thefts within the city," PVEPD said in a statement.
