Traffic, Road Construction Expected In Palos Verdes Peninsula

Drivers can expect traffic during road construction Thursday in the Palos Verdes Peninsula, near Torrance, officials said.

ROLLING HILLS ESTATES, CA — Drivers can expect traffic as road construction is underway Thursday in the Palos Verdes Peninsula, near the border of Torrance, officials said.

The traffic is expected to impact an area of Rolling Hills near Pacific Coast Highway and Hawthorne Boulevard on Thursday from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

  • Through lanes will be reduced from three lanes to two lanes in every direction.
  • Left-turn lanes on Hawthorne Boulevard will be reduced from two lanes to one lane for northbound and southbound left turns.
  • Left turns from Pacific Coast Highway onto Hawthorne Boulevard will be prohibited for a 3-hour period during the working hours.
