Wilson Phillips, J.R. Richards To Headline Music On The Meadows

PALOS VERDES, CA — Terranea Resort's annual Music on the Meadows event will be July 4 from 2 p.m. to 9 p.m. The event includes performances by legendary musical acts Wilson Phillips and J.R. Richards (formerly of Dishwalla), along with other local favorites; and an array of culinary offerings from the resort’s signature Farm-to-Terranea cuisine, to craft beers from local breweries, wine and spirits, and much more.

The event takes place on the resort’s Meadows Lawn which offers "sweeping coastal views of the Pacific and nearby Catalina Island," the Terranea Resort press release said.

Wilson Phillips' iconic hit "Hold On" reached the top spot on the Billboard Hot 100 and was named "Hot 100 Single of the Year" at the Billboard Music Awards. Their other hits, like "Release Me" and "You’re in Love" helped catapult their self-titled debut to number two on the Billboard Albums Chart, selling more than 10 million copies worldwide and making it the best-selling album of all time by an all-female group at the time, the press release said.

J.R. Richards’ debut solo album "A Beautiful End" was released in 2009, and debuted in the Top 50 on iTunes. He has also written songs for hit TV shows "How I Met Your Mother" and "Criminal Minds," according to the Terranea Resort press release.
