PASADENA, CA — The clock is ticking for city employees in Pasadena to be fully vaccinated against the coronavirus, or else undergo weekly screening tests, according to the Pasadena Star-News.

A vaccine mandate issued by city officials in July gave workers until Friday to get their COVID-19 shots. The mandate applies to all city employees, including police officers and firefighters, the paper reported.

Weekly screening tests will be required for those who do not get fully vaccinated by the deadline or who received an approved vaccination exemption.
