Driver Shot And Killed In Connection With Robbery: Pasadena Police

Police responded to a crash and found the driver had been shot repeatedly and was dead, according to authorities.

PASADENA, CA — A man was killed in an apparent robbery over the weekend on a highway in Pasadena, according to police.

Authorities responded around 3:15 a.m. Saturday to a collision on Angeles Crest Highway at mile marker 28.36, where they found a damaged sedan occupied by two people, police said.

The driver, 32-year-old Jessie Munoz of Los Angeles, had been shot repeatedly and was pronounced dead at the scene, according to police, who said his passenger, a woman, was not hurt.

Detectives are investigating the incident as a robbery-related homicide, police said.
