Feeling Pinch at the Pumps? Area Gas Prices Up for 13th Day in Row

Cost per gallon is nearly 11 cents higher than a month ago.

LOS ANGELES COUNTY, CA – The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County rose today for the 13th consecutive day, increasing four-tenths of a cent to $2.832.

The average price has risen 11.3 cents over the past 13 days, including three-tenths of a cent on Tuesday, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service.

The streak of increases is the longest since a 36-day streak from Feb.26-April 1.

The average price is 7.5 cents more than one week ago and 10.6 cents higher than one month ago but 23.7 cents less than one year ago. The Orange County average price also rose for the 13th consecutive day today, increasing seven-tenths of a cent to $2.837.

It has risen 12.5 cents over the past 13 days, including six-tenths of a cent on Tuesday. The streak of increases is the longest since a 24-day streak from Feb.26-March 20.

The Orange County average price is 8 cents more than one week ago and 11.7 cents higher than one month ago but 22.4 cents less than one year ago.
