PASADENA, CA — Nice Buns, a bakery that specializes in wholesale delivery of unique buns and pastries for Los Angeles-area coffee shops, has opened its first retail shop in the lobby of the WeWork building at 177 E. Colorado Blvd. in Pasadena.

The stand is serving up its buns, coffee and such breakfast and lunch items as the "Hot Mess" Breakfast Sammy, Banana Date Over-Night-Oats, the “Nicest” Little Gem Caesar with poached chicken and a Roast Turkey “Bun Mi.”

"Nice Buns has been a labor of love and reinvents the office lobby experience by creating a happy place with delicious aromas of freshly baked buns, brewed coffee, fun music and a caring staff," said company founder Eliot Silver.

Nudged by family and friends to launch his own bakery business, Silver, who has an extensive restaurant background, developed the Nice Buns recipes in his own kitchen and began selling to Los Angeles-area coffee shops and restaurants.

A graduate of Cornell Hotel School in Ithaca, NY, Silver has worked at properties, including Standard Hotels and Wynn Resorts, alongside such top chefs as Michael Mina and Danny Meyer.
