De La Hoya was pulled over for allegedly speeding in his Land Rover just before 2 a.m. Wednesday, according to the California Highway Patrol.
De La Hoya was driving his Land Rover along Del Mar Boulevard when a CHP officer pulled him over for allegedly speeding. According to the arrest report, the officer smelled alcohol on De La Hoya and conducted a series of sobriety tests. De La Hoya failed the tests and was taken into custody, according to police.

He was cited and released to his manager.
According to TMZ, De La Hoya has a long history with substance abuse problems, and he was seen hitting the bars such as Barney's Beanery in Old TownPasadena Tuesday night before he was arrested.
