PASADENA, CA — Star Students are found in classrooms, on concert and theater stages and at debate lecterns, and out in the community doing good things to make life better for all of us.

Here at Patch, we've launched an initiative to help recognize Star Students, and we’re working to tell the stories of these outstanding kids to their neighbors.

This submission comes from Lolita Y Spratling who nominated Love, California Virtual Academy, Grade 5, of Pasadena.

How do you know the star local student?

Love is my daughter.

Why do you believe the star local student should be recognized?

Love is currently a member of the Family Advisory Council Board at The Huntington Library

What's one thing you want everyone to know about the star local student?

My community loving, local star student survived the pandemic and decided to dedicate the remainder of her life (to) accomplishing her many goals. The most important is exposing her love of art to as many people and animals as possible. She draws daily, produces her own documentaries, and is in the process of writing a story book.

Congratulations on your achievements, and all of our best wishes to you in the future, Love!
