PASADENA, CA — A pair of familiar faces at the Pasadena Police Department will temporarily lead the agency when Chief John Perez starts his retirement Wednesday, the Pasadena Star-News reports.

Deputy Chief Cheryl Moody and Commander Jason Clawson will take turns in the role. Moody will oversee the department starting Thursday until May 2, when Clawson takes over, the Star-News reported.

Clawson will remain as the interim chief until a new city manager makes a new appointment, according to the paper.
