CITY OF INDUSTRY, CA — Two brothers have been arrested on suspicion of committing a violent purse-watching robbery in a Costco parking lot in which a woman was repeatedly punched in the face while being dragged by the brothers' getaway vehicle, deputies said.

David Morrison, 38, and Andrew Morrison, 34, were arrested Thursday in connection with the incident, which occurred at around 6:30 p.m. Nov. 26 in the parking lot of the Costco in the City of Industry, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department.

During the robbery, the victim attempted to recover her purse and was repeatedly punched in the face while being dragged by the suspects' vehicle. The woman suffered life-threatening facial and head trauma, deputies said.

Deputies say they're working to determine if the brothers have been involved in any other recent robberies in the San Gabriel Valley.

David Morrison was being held in lieu of $500,000 bail, while Andrew Morrison's bail was set at $600,000, according to jail records.
