Promoting Community Wellness and Spirit at "Mission-To-Mission" Event

The Tai Ji Men Qigong Academy in Pasadena recently took part in the vibrant celebration known as “Active Streets: Mission-To-Mission,” a lively event presented by METRO and hosted by SGVCOG. Amidst the bustling streets of South Pasadena, Tai Ji Men set up a booth that captured the attention of numerous attendees. This event, featuring a 5-mile car-free route, was a testament to fostering community connections and emphasizing health and well-being, attracting cyclists and families from South Pasadena, Alhambra, San Gabriel, and beyond.

Community Engagement and Learning
At the heart of Tai Ji Men’s booth was a dedication to holistic health and creativity. Visitors of all ages engaged in arts and crafts activities, including crafting positive messages with vibrant wooden beads and designing personalized necklaces.

A Day of Fun, Wellness, and Community Spirit
The atmosphere was electric with joy and a strong sense of community as participants relished the day's festivities. Tai Ji Men's stall not only highlighted physical well-being but also mental wellness, emphasizing the importance of balance and harmony. Passersby, whether on foot or cycling by, were drawn to the booth's offerings, reflecting a shared interest in holistic health practices.

Continued Commitment to Wellbeing
Looking ahead, Tai Ji Men Qigong Academy will host a special event titled the “Spring Wellness Party” on May 5, 2024, from 3:30-5:00 pm at its Pasadena academy (570 E. About Tai Ji Men
Tai Ji Men is an international, non-profit cultural organization dedicated to preserving Tai Ji Men culture and promoting the physical, mental, and spiritual well-being of people worldwide. Starting in the year 2000, Dr. Hong, Tao-Tze, the head of Tai Ji Men, established two Tai Ji Men Academies in California. In October 2023, Dr. Hong hosted the inauguration of two more new academies, one in Santa Clara and the other in Pasadena. Over an extended period, Dr. Hong has led members of Tai Ji Men and the Federation of World Peace and Love (FOWPAL) to take on self-funded tours across six continents to promote a culture of peace rooted in love and conscience. Dr. Hong played a pivotal role in the United Nations’ adoption of the International Day of Conscience and received the President’s Lifetime Achievement Award from the office of President Joe Biden in March 2023. This award recognized the 1.2 million service hours that Dr. Hong and members of FOWPAL have contributed to the nation.
