Tai Ji Men Radiates Warmth at Walnut’s 65th Birthday Celebration

Fostering traditions and well-being: Tai Ji Men members showcase vitality and harmony

Founded in 1959, the city of Walnut exudes a timeless country charm, boasting rich natural landscapes and a deep cultural heritage. As a vibrant community, Walnut recently celebrated its 65th birthday at Suzanne Park, incorporating traditional festivities from the Walnut Family Festival and Winter Jam.

Under the clear Californian sky, families gathered, basking in the warm sunshine during the event. Walnut Mayor Nancy Tragarz and City Councilmembers Eric Ching and Ritchie Cajulis not only attended the celebration but also engaged in capturing memorable moments with members of the Tai Ji Men Qigong Academy at their booth.

Tai Ji Men members presented Mayor Tragarz and the council members with unique Lunar New Year greeting cards, imbued with blessings from the academy's leader, Dr. Hong, Tao-Tze. Attendees flocked to the Tai Ji Men booth, eager to explore the transformative effects of Tai Ji Men Qigong on the body, mind, and spirit. They were also keen to understand the practical benefits of integrating Yin and Yang philosophy into their daily lives.

Relocating to Walnut City in 2005, the Tai Ji Men Qigong Academy Walnut Branch has flourished for 24 years, serving as a haven for residents in the greater Los Angeles area. Engaging in regular qigong practice, its members have witnessed enhancements in their physical, mental, and spiritual well-being, enabling holistic self-improvement. Guided by Dr. Hong, they enthusiastically participate in volunteer activities, contributing to the betterment of others and the world, thereby enriching their own lives with greater purpose.

Eight-year-old Quentin, Sandy's younger son, has been immersed in the practice of Tai Ji Men Qigong from a young age. Sandy aspires for Quentin to develop into a physically and emotionally well-rounded individual, as the principles of conscience, compassion, and other positive values instilled through Tai Ji Men have firmly established roots in his heart, providing a solid foundation for character building.

Sandy's father, 82-year-old David, faced severe symptoms after contracting COVID in June 2023, spending three weeks in an intensive care unit. During the challenging battle against the virus, David continued to practice Tai Ji Men Qigong, contributing to his accelerated recovery. At the bash, David, joined by his daughter and grandchildren, surprised many guests with his enduring strength as they collectively celebrated Walnut City's birthday.
