Tour of California Cycling Race to End in Pasadena

The finish line for the Tour of California will be in Pasadena on May 20, it was announced Tuesday.

PASADENA, CA — The 2017 edition of cycling's Tour of California will end in front of the Pasadena Convention Center on May 20, organizers announced Tuesday.

The race's final 77-mile stage is billed by organizers as a "quick tour of the Angeles National Forest." It will begin at the Mountain High ski resort and descend into La Canada Flintridge. The finish will feature a long straightaway.

The 2014 race also concluded in front of the Pasadena Convention Center.

This will be the fifth time in the race's 12-year history that it will come to Pasadena.

The seven-stage race will also include a second stage in Los Angeles County. The race's fifth stage on May 17 will take cyclists 100.3 miles from Santa Barbara to Santa Clarita.

The seven-stage 575.9-mile race will begin May 14 with a 104-mile stage in Sacramento.
