Veterans Get Free Ticket To UCLA-Armed Forces Game At Rose Bowl

Members of the armed forces will receive one free ticket to Saturday's game by showing military ID at the Rose Bowl ticket office.

PASADENA, CA — UCLA will play its Armed Forces Appreciation Game on Saturday night with all active members of the U.S. armed forces able to receive one free ticket by showing military identification at the Rose Bowl ticket office.

All active members of the U.S. armed forces and veterans can also buy up to eight additional tickets for the Pac-12 Conference game against Arizona State at a 50 percent discount.

The UCLA Marching Band will perform a military-themed halftime show that will conclude with the unfurling of a 100-yard American flag across the field by approximately 250 members of the band and JROTC from surrounding area high schools.

UCLA Veteran of the Year Rebecca Murga will be honored at halftime. She served as a U.S. Army captain and public affairs officer, and was deployed to Iraq, Kuwait and Afghanistan.

Murga, now a filmmaker, was awarded a Bronze Star for her work with the Special Operations Command in Afghanistan and the Meritorious Service Medal for her service in Iraq.
