Being Thankful on Thanksgiving Day

Thanksgiving, being grateful, being thankful, and having gratitude.

Happy Thanksgiving from PlesantHillMaryAnn.

They say we all have something to be thankful for, but sometimes life gets in the way. We tend to focus on the negative, the past, hurt, pain, anger and resentment. Hmm, that all seems like such a heavy load and when we concentrate too much on the preceding they become bricks that are weighty and hold us down. Pretty soon our wheel barrel of life gets so full and heavy we can no longer push it. OK, so what would change that for us to unload the emotional brick yard we've created? It seems like such an elusive answer, and yet, such a simple shift in our thought process can change our emotions exponentially. It's about being grateful for all the little things in our day and the people in our life, and for me I even give thanks for that serendipitous parking spot. So in truth, there is always something we can be thankful for, but we have to unmask the frown and turn it upside down. My sincere hope and prayer is that on Thanksgiving Day you may have something to be thankful for. Like a mustard seed, may you grow to be grateful with every little thing in your life and spread that joy! You see, "A good attitude, gives you the latitude to rise above to gratitude."
