About Town with PleasantHillMaryAnn Lighting the Christmas Tree

Annual Christmas Tree Lighting and all The Downtown Merriment to Bring in The Season

Downtown Pleasant Hill was the place to be last night for the annual Tree Lighting, and bringing in the Christmas spirit. With horse drawn wagons, where even the horses wore lights on their ankles and many lined up to catch a ride and Santa who came all the way from the North Pole.

Like last year there were booths of crafts and crafty people too! However, it was a night of illumination
and light sabers ruled the night along with little Jedi’s. The booths also included the civic community, and organizations like the 4H raising funds with mistletoe, the Pleasant Hill Teen Council, and College Park Interactive club. Not to forget our men in blue the Pleasant Hill Police, doing a good job of keeping us
safe. All came for the tree lighting, to see Santa, to and listen to the choir and the Victorian carolers, and just to be a part of the merriment. Some of the attendees pic included Mayada, her son Sam and daughter Tiana, the Ascencio family, Juanita from the Pleasant Hill Chamber. Representing the 4H Club were Brooke Cleary, Kieran Manning and Ally Cleary from the 4 H Club. Also, the Spark family, George with the lights and Ms Amber. Make sure you visit downtown Pleasant Hill this holiday season and enjoy tis the season of Merry!
