Animal Sheltering Changes Announced In Redondo Beach

The Los Angeles County Department of Animal Care and Control will stop animal sheltering services for Redondo Beach beginning Oct. 4.

REDONDO BEACH, CA —The Los Angeles County Department of Animal Care and Control will no longer provide animal sheltering services for the city of Redondo Beach, county officials announced Thursday.

Starting Oct. 4, the DACC will stop service, and instead the city of Redondo Beach Animal Control Officers will transport found animals to spcaLA South Bay Pet Adoption Center located on 12910 S. Yukon Avenue, Hawthorne.

Residents are encouraged to contact the City of Redondo Beach Animal Control at (310) 318-0611 for additional information. To report immediate concerns or an animal emergency, call 9-1-1 or the City’s Animal Control non-emergency line (310) 318-0611.
