Big Rig Crash On PCH In South Bay Shuts Down Freeway Onramp Overnight

The crash jammed up traffic for hours and triggered a SigAlert for the northbound Long Beach (710) Freeway Sunday night.

EL SEGUNDO, CA — A big rig truck crashed and overturned Sunday evening on Pacific Coast Highway in the South Bay.

The truck crashed around 1710 N. Pacific Coast Highway at 7:45 p.m. in El Segundo Sunday, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The crash temporarily shut down the on-ramp from eastbound PCH to the northbound Long Beach (710) Freeway.

A SigAlert was issued by the CHP around 7:57 p.m. The shutdown was expected to last until 11 p.m., according to the CHP.

There was no word yet regarding injuries.
