Family Of Critically Ill ICU Patient In South Bay Hospital Sought

Providence Little Company of Mary Torrance is looking for the family of a critically ill 71-year-old patient who suffered a stroke.

TORRANCE, CA — Providence Little Company of Mary Torrance is seeking the family of a critically ill woman who is unable to participate in her care after having a stroke.

The woman, believed to be 71-year-old Daisy Verdugo, has been in the hospital for nearly six weeks, Providence said in a statement. The woman transfered to Providence from Kaiser Permanente West Los Angeles Medical Center.

Representatives at Providence said they have tried unsuccessfully to notify family members.

The patient is described as a Latina woman who is 5 feet tall, 148 pounds and has graying brown hair and brown eyes.
