Motorcyclist Killed In Redondo Beach Crash

A motorcyclist was killed in a crash in Redondo Beach on Saturday, police announced.

REDONDO BEACH, CA — A motorcyclist was killed in a crash in Redondo Beach on Saturday, police announced.

The Redondo Beach Police Department received multiple calls about a collision between a motorcycle and a car at about 3:15 p.m. on Aviation Boulevard. When emergency services responded to the scene, they located the unresponsive motorcyclist lying in the street near the intersection.

"The motorcyclist was pronounced deceased at the scene. His identity as of now is unknown," RBPD said in a statement.

The driver of the vehicle involved in the collision remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators, RBPD said. Investigators said they don't believe alcohol or drugs to be factors in the collision.

During the investigation, the intersection of Aviation Boulevard and Space Park Drive was closed while authorities worked.
