Redondo Beach Celebrates 131 Years With Trip To The Museum

Guests will get to explore the Redondo Beach Historical Museum and Morrell House as part of the celebration.

REDONDO BEACH, CA — The City of Redondo Beach will celebrate its 131st birthday this weekend and invited members of the community to visit the Historical Museum and Morrell House as part of the event.

The event is being held in conjunction with an art exhibit featuring original artwork from local artist Caesar Hernandez from the collection of Steve Colin according to city officials.

"Caesar Hernandez was a resident of Redondo Beach and a longtime art teacher at Redondo Union High School. Many of his pieces in the Colin collection depict iconic locations throughout Redondo Beach," said Community Services Director Cameron Harding.

The celebration will be at 302 Flagler Lane on Saturday, April 29 at 10 a.m. with a special presentation at 10:30 a.m. Light refreshments will be provided.
