REDONDO BEACH, CA — Redondo Beach residents could be ticketed for parking in street sweeping zones, even after the street sweeper has already passed, thanks to a new city rules update.

As of Wednesday, new city rules went into effect prohibiting parking on streets during all hours posted on street sweeping signs.

Previously, parking enforcement didn't issue tickets for vehicles parked along streets in street-sweeping zones as long as the sweeper had already passed by. Now, residents will be ticketed if their vehicles are on the street during the 2 to 3 hour periods posted on street signs.
