Redondo Beach To Host Free Compost Giveaway

REDONDO BEACH, CA — Redondo Beach residents with green thumbs are in luck as the city will host a free compost giveaway on Aug 10.

Redondo Beach residents will be able to fill containers that are no larger than 32 gallons while supplies last from 8 a .m. to 12 p.m. An ID or bill to prove residency is required and no plastic bags will be allowed.

The compost is made up of a blend of organic material including a mix of green waste, wood waste and food scraps.

The giveaway will take place at the Hopkins Wilderness Park parking lot at 1102 Camino Real.
