REDONDO BEACH, CA — Early voting is now open in Redondo Beach for the 2024 Primary Election, where residents will vote on State Assemblymember, President and Senator.

With presidential frontrunners former President Donald Trump and President Joe Biden expected to win their nominations handily, all eyes in California are on the hotly contested primary race for the seat vacated by the late Sen. Dianne Feinstein as well as a slew of local races.

Locally, voters in Assembly District 66, which includes Redondo Beach. Current Democratic Assemblymember Al Muratsuchi and Republican small business owner George Barks will both advance to the general election, as they are the only two candidates.

Polling Places

Residents can vote on Election Day or choose to vote in person early. Accessible voting locations are open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Election Day at the following locations:

  • South Bay Adult School - Conference Room A 3401 Inglewood Ave.
    • Early voting will be open starting March 2 from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.
  • Alta Vista Park - 715 Julia Ave.
    • Early voting will be open starting March 2 from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m
  • Perry Park - 2301 Grant Ave.
    • Early voting will be open starting March 2 from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m
  • Beach Cities Health District - 514 N Prospect Ave.
    • Early voting will be open starting March 2 from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m

In-person voting locations will offer same-day voter registration, replacement ballots, accessible voting machines and language assistance for those who need it.

Every registered voter in California received an election ballot this month, and there are plenty of ballot drop boxes nearby in which to deposit them.
